All 8th grade students of ACS attended a field trip to Camp Don Lee to kick off the new school year. During this field trip, students rotated through several stations geared toward different learning goals and curriculum standards. Our stations included: Maps and Charts, Fishing (which became Herpetology when the storm arrived), Invertebrates (in which students dissected a squid), and Team Building. The overall goal for this field trip was to kick off the new school year with a day of engaging and exciting academic challenges and facilitate team building skills for students to utilize throughout the year. Eighth grade teachers, Ann Law and Grace Nanney, feel this goal was successfully met for the first field trip of the year and look forward to more engaging academic field tips to come.

If you would like to help the 8th grade field trip fund, please consider supporting the current 8th grade Tupperware fundraiser. Money raised from this fundraiser will be used to offset the cost of field trips for each student.
