pictured are Dr. Dennis Sawyer, Mr. Raymond Marks, and Mr. Paul SpruillStudents at Arapahoe Charter School will soon be able to remotely explore the world beneath the ocean surface, thanks to a Bright Ideas Project Grant awarded to Mr. Raymond Marks, the high school science teacher at the school. For this project, "SeaCat ROVer: Underwater Sampling Vehicle," Marine Science students, as well as Environmental Science students, will design, build, and operate an Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle, which will allow them the opportunity to observe ocean processes and collect samples at depth. We look forward to sharing our progress as the project commences. Mr. Marks thanks Tideland Electric Membership Corporation for their generous sponsorship of his proposal, as well as the administration and staff at Arapahoe Charter School for their support.
