Clubs

There will be a club fundraiser at Schlotzy's Deli (in New Bern) the first Tuesday of each month.  A percentage of sales will benefit our clubs. Mention you are with Arapahoe Charter School when you order.

Middle School United Nations (MSUN)

Middle School United Nations is an exciting educational strategy for middle school students to learn about global issues. Participants assume the roles of diplomatic representatives to the United Nations as they consider contemporary international concerns. Through this role-playing event, participants develop a greater understanding of world problems and the complexity of international relations. Students are required to attend weekly or bi-weekly meetings through our community partnership with YMCA Camp Sea Gull and YMCA Camp Seafarer. The highlight of the year is the state conference in Black Mountain, NC, in April or May.

Youth and Government (YAG)

YMCA Youth & Government prepares teens in grades 9th through 12th for moral and political leadership through training in the theory and practice of developing public policy. Teens can join through our community partnership with YMCA Camp Sea Gull and YMCA Camp Seafarer. Teens write bills and then debate them in a model legislature complete with delegates, judges, and members of the press at the statewide conference held in February in downtown Raleigh, NC.
