Arapahoe Charter School

Dear Bobcat Family Members,

Recently, the State Board of Education granted Arapahoe Charter School permission to add 9^th grade to our instructional program for the 2012-2013 school year.  We are very excited about this opportunity and have plans to submit a future request to continue to expand a grade at a time to include a full high school.

We are well aware of the “time crunch” we are up against.  We are forming a committee of parents, staff, board members, and administration to discuss all of our options for our 9^th grade program.  We currently envision a “hybrid approach” combining face-to-face as well as online instruction (monitored by certified teachers).

We are slightly “handcuffed” right now due to the fact we are not in a position to guarantee anything beyond 9^th grade but we hope you will continue to show faith in our school as we continue to pursue a full high school program.

We hope to have an 8^th grade parent night in early March to make a formal presentation to our families.  At that meeting, we will outline our instructional program, options, and plans for the future.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions, comments, or concerns.
