Technology Department

Vision:

Arapahoe Charter School, in partnership with staff members, students, parents, and the community, will become a leader in technology use.

We will continue to encourage teachers to look for and utilize new technology in everyday instruction.  We will model effective technology use for our students.  We will access necessary staff development and training opportunities in order to prepare students for the challenges of a technologically advancing society.

Students will be encouraged to use technology everyday, and will be exposed to multiple technology options.  They will be encouraged to explore the Internet and search out global opportunities.

Our parents and community will be called upon for resources and expertise.  We want parents to share technology use in their chosen professions.  To ensure technology for the school, we will count on our stakeholders for money and donations of gently-used equipment.

Arapahoe Charter School acknowledges that the world is changing rapidly.  As a small rural community, we have an obligation to expand the horizons of our students.  We believe an investment in technology and its use will benefit our students as they enter the global economy.
